The article shows the research work of historians of Uzbekistan on the study of the role and contribution of Uzbeks to victory in World War II. The assessment is given to works on military subjects written during the Soviet period, as well as studies of the period of independence. There is an increase in the interest of young researchers in the history of the Second World War, the actualization of this problem, including in connection with the falsification of the results of the war against fascism.
