The article reveals the issue of humanitarization of higher education as an essential means of developing the spirituality of future specialists, as well as one of the key factors in the formation of the humanitarian culture of a specialist as an individual, an intellectual. Using the example of universities in Uzbekistan, the article shows the process of coordinating the first block of social and humanitarian disciplines. Suggestions are given for organizing teaching using the example of the subject “History of Uzbekistan” for non-historical specialties.
