The article examines the technological, typological features and ornamental motifs of non-glazed kitchen pottery,found during archaeological excavations at the South Aral settlements dating back to the early Khwarazmshahperiod. It mainly describes the kitchen pottery from the Khwarazmshah period of the quarters of the settlementsof Mizdakhkan, Dzhampykkaly, Pulzhai, and other sites of the left bank of the Amu Darya delta. Particularattention is paid to technological and typological features and ornamental motifs of kitchen pottery. Kitchenpottery occupies a unique place among the unglazed products and artifacts from medieval settlements in theSouthern Aral Sea region. According to the morphological structure, the kitchen pottery is compared withartifacts from other regions of Central Asia. Decorative elements correspond to some elements of folk appliedart of the ethnic groups of the South Aral region. The pottery of this period underwent significant changes,but continuity was ensured. It is almost entirely easel, wheel-thrown, and fired in ceramic kilns. The vesselswere created with an admixture of grus, which gave them high fire resistance. This period is characterized byornamentation in the form of small wavy lines, finger indentations and nail incisions, stamp impressions, andrelief patterns
