The article discusses one of the world image key concepts. Love is interpreted slightly different in various world images, despite the fact that it is an objective entity. This can be clearly seen in proverbs. Love is one of the basic concepts, defining the national mentality. The article also defines the general and various features of the love concept in the English and Uzbek proverb world image. These facts can help the Uzbek language speakers, who are studying English, and will significantly help in the process of intercultural communication.
