The article describes the changes that took place in the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries in the system of local and central government of the Bukhara Emirate, the administrative-territorial division of oasis beks, the administrative division of beks and amlok. The positions entered into the system of local and central government are analyzed. Also, the assignment of the title Bek to Sarizhuy amlok was studied. In addition, the issues of the deployment of citizens and troops of Russian Empire in the Bukhara Emirate, the introduction of a new control system within the Sherabad’s Bek were considered.
