The article presents the results of research using the instrumental neutron activation analysis for monitoring the state of environment in the Tashkent region and the Tashkent city. Data on the macro- and microelement composition of soil, water, hair of the population around industrial enterprises were obtained, and the impact of these data on the health of the population living in these territories was assessed.
