Injuries to the ankle joint complicated by the rupture of the intertibial syndesmosis belong to the category of severe and unstable injuries. Diagnosis and treatment of ankle joint injuries complicated by the rupture of the intertibial syndesmosis is one of the pressing, yet unresolved problems of modern traumatology and orthopedics. When syndesmosis ruptures are restored, surgical interventions such as the closed surgical method using external devices, plates, and screws, fixing the distal syndesmosis using bundle lavsan or suction screws, and detecting ligamentous structure damage using an arthroscope and restoring it are performed.
