The article addresses the rules of teaching race walking in athletics, focusing on its technical and tactical characteristics. The biomechanical foundations of race walking, movement phases, step length and frequency, as well as the coordination of pelvic and arm movements are analyzed. The importance of applying pedagogical principles in the training process and the necessity of comprehensive physical development of athletes are substantiated. The presented materials have practical value for improving the effectiveness of teaching and enhancing race walking technique.
