This article examines the sociological foundations for forecasting labour market needs within the vocational education system. The study analyses the alignment of vocational education institutions with labour market requirements, the systematic assessment of employers’ demands, and the improvement of regional employment monitoring. The theoretical and practical aspects of labour market forecasting are explored through systemic and institutional approaches. The research employs sociological analysis, comparative analysis, expert evaluation, and generalisation methods. The findings highlight the necessity of improving labour market monitoring, strengthening cooperation between vocational education institutions and employers, and designing workforce training parameters in accordance with the prospective development of economic sectors. The author proposes scientific and practical recommendations aimed at enhancing labour market forecasting mechanisms and improving the vocational education system.
