This article examines the sociological criteria for assessing the institutional adaptation of vocational education graduates to the labour market. The study investigates the impact of institutional interaction among vocational education institutions, employers, labour market institutions, and government support mechanisms on graduates’ professional adaptation and employment outcomes. A combination of sociological analysis, comparative analysis, expert evaluation, and generalization methods was employed to identify the key factors influencing graduates’ successful integration into the labour market. Based on the empirical findings, a system of sociological criteria for assessing the level of institutional adaptation was developed, enabling a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of institutional cooperation in facilitating graduate employment. The study also identifies the role of professional competencies, employer participation, labour market monitoring, and institutional support in strengthening graduates’ competitiveness. Furthermore, scientific and practical recommendations are proposed to improve cooperation between vocational education institutions and employers, enhance institutional mechanisms for labour market integration, and align vocational training with current labour market demands. The findings contribute to the development of evidence-based approaches aimed at improving the quality of vocational education and ensuring sustainable employment opportunities for graduates.
