Psychodiagnostics has historical roots in its formation as a science. The historical roots of science make it possible to establish the path of its development. Today, the development of world psychodiagnostics is assessed, relying on its content in historical context. In turn, the development of psychodiagnostics in Uzbekistan is also influenced by the world experience. Analysis of development of psychodiagnostics in Uzbekistan was conducted based on generalization of information about diagnostical tools, used in performed dissertational studies in Uzbekistan. It allowed to divide used psychodiagnostical methods into types. Besides that stages of psychodiagnostical studies in Uzbekistan are offered in the article.
