This article examines the concept of internet addiction among youth and its impact on social relations from a sociological perspective. Based on a theoretical review of scientific literature, the study analyzes the social consequences of excessive internet use in the context of a rapidly developing digital society. The research employs theoretical analysis, comparative analysis, a systems approach, and content analysis to investigate the phenomenon. Particular attention is given to the influence of internet addiction on family relationships, peer communication, educational activities, and the socialization of young people. The findings indicate that internet addiction should be considered not only as a psychological issue but also as a complex sociological phenomenon affecting social relations and social participation. The article emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital culture, promoting responsible internet use, and enhancing cooperation among families, educational institutions, and other social institutions to reduce the negative social consequences of internet addiction.
