This article examines the main trends and priority directions of the development of the mahalla institution in the context of New Uzbekistan based on a human-centered approach. The study highlights the role of mahalla in providing social support to the population, reducing poverty, promoting employment, strengthening social protection, and expanding citizens’ participation in public administration. Particular attention is paid to improving the activities of mahalla institutions in accordance with the principle of human dignity and the protection of individual interests. This article examines human-centeredness as the fundamental principle of state and social structures, particularly the mahalla in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It analyzes the historical roots of the mahalla, the philosophical views of Eastern thinkers on the role of community, and contemporary reforms and practical activities of mahallas. A concept for creating a digital bridge between the people and the mahalla is proposed, allowing the state to better understand the lives and needs of citizens.
