The article is devoted to the analysis of phraseological unities in English, Russian and Karakalpak languages on the basis of V.V. Vinogradov’s classification. It examines the structural and semantic features of phraseological unities based on authentic materials, which fully represent the national and cultural characteristics of the peoples of the English, Russian and Karakalpak languages. The article shows the features of the phraseological unities’ components, where the figurative meanings of words and their perception from the side of metaphor, metonymy and other stylistic tropes are reflected. In this article, the main task is to identify the differences in the figurative meanings of stable phrases from other V.V. Vinogradov’s classifications of phraseological units, such as phraseological fusions and phraseological combinations. Such a feature is that phraseological unities differ from phraseological fusions in that they can be in a free meaning, i.e. they change in different options. With the help of the presented examples from the contexts of various materials, we can consider these differences. In addition, these examples give us a complete world picture of English, Russian and Karakalpak languages through comparison and contrast, which reflects the originality and uniqueness of the native speakers.
