This article examines the role of digital technologies in education, in particular, the issues of optimizing the teaching process through the use of interactive methods and multimedia tools. The rapid development of digital technologies creates new opportunities in the educational process and increases students’ interest in learning. New forms of learning using online platforms and mobile applications are analyzed, which serve to develop students’ independent learning, repetition, and performance skills, increase their interest in lessons, and increase the efficiency of the educational process. Students’ deeper assimilation of knowledge is achieved through the use of video, animation, simulations, interactive tests, and gamification in the teaching process. The article analyzes the practical aspects of interactive and multimedia approaches, based on existing platforms and technologies, their mutual integration, and methodological recommendations. The article highlights the convenience they provide to students and teachers using the examples of such popular tools as Google Classroom, Zoom, Moodle, Kahoot, Duolingo. Based on research and practical experience, the article provides recommendations for teachers on how to correctly and purposefully use digital tools.
