Annotatsiya

This scientific study is dedicated to exploring the negative influence of the native Uzbek language on the development of written English among Uzbek-speaking students learning English as a second language. The research analyzes instances of grammatical, syntactic, and lexical interference in written speech and explains their origins based on linguistic and psycholinguistic approaches. In particular, it examines how the typological features of the Uzbek language affect written English, using real student writing samples. The errors resulting from interference are systematized, and effective methodological solutions aimed at preventing them are proposed. This study promotes a deeper understanding of the role of the native language in the formation of English writing competence, and offers recommendations for the early identification and correction of errors. The main objective of the study is to identify negative interference cases originating from Uzbek in English texts, analyze their causes and impact, and develop practical and methodological solutions to address these issues. The research employs a combination of qualitative (observation, analysis of written work) and quantitative (surveys, test results) methods. The most common errors found in student writings are analyzed with examples and classified from a typological perspective.
