The article discusses the role of multimedia tools in teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions and their significance in the educational process. Nowadays, the use of modern technologies in learning and mastering foreign languages serves as an important factor. The article also provides an understanding of the use of multimedia tools, including audio, video, graphics, and interactive platforms. The use of multimedia tools, alongside textbooks, in learning and mastering foreign languages leads to effective results and provides teachers with the opportunity to conduct lessons in a more engaging and effective manner. Teaching foreign languages through multimedia tools, using the opportunities to see and hear the practical application of the language, helps students actively learn the language, improve pronunciation, and increases their interest in the language. Moreover, the article analyzes the shortcomings, technical, and methodological issues in the use of multimedia tools in learning and mastering foreign languages. The article emphasizes that the effective and correct use of multimedia tools in language learning is an urgent issue in the current process of learning foreign languages.
