The article discusses the roles and application of information management system in higher education. The introduction of digital learning platforms plays a key role in the development of modern higher education. This article examines the impact of the HEMIS platform on improving the accessibility and quality of the learning process. The main components of HEMIS, including data collection, processing and analysis, are explored, as well as their use to enhance the management of educational institutions. Its functionalities are described, including automation of learning management, attendance tracking, and digital learning assessment. Special attention is paid to the advantages of using HEMIS, such as facilitating interaction between students and teachers, increasing the transparency of the educational process and enhancing distance learning opportunities. The disadvantages are also analyzed: technical failures, difficulty in adapting teachers and students, possible data security risks. It emphasizes the need to improve the HEMIS platform and develop strategies to effectively overcome the difficulties encountered. The article also discusses the advantages and challenges associated with the implementation of such systems in the context of the diversity of educational institutions. Finally, it analyzes the prospects for further development of the platform and its impact on the digital transformation of education.
