The subsequent improvement in the scope of translation technology has made a huge impact on the traditional foreign language teaching methods, offering wide technological support to teachers and students. This paper will discuss how translation technology impacts foreign language teaching while analyzing how teachers view technology application with respect to its current status, usage habits, and demands. The rapid rise in technology has, in its particular way, enhanced support for foreign language instruction and brought about a transformation to the traditional model of language teaching. Analyses will include the various types and applications of translation technology, their functions, and roles in teaching, covering classroom instruction, instructional design, and assessment of classes. It will also examine translation teaching competence and its core aspects, routes for development, and enhancement strategies with a focus on models of innovation-enhanced by technology and the use of artificial intelligence. The paper will conclude with recommendations for future research, including in-depth study for technology integration and research-based decisions in language pedagogy, in the hopes of offering references useful for the advancement of translation teaching.
