This study examines the effectiveness of using role-playing games, business simulations, and language quests as teaching tools for first-year Russian language learners. The focus is on enhancing communication skills, fostering language motivation, and reducing fear of making mistakes. A pedagogical experiment with control and experimental groups serves as the methodological basis for the study. The results indicate that game-based learning significantly improves language acquisition in terms of grammar, vocabulary, and communication. Additionally, it promotes student engagement in the learning process. The authors note a significant improvement in students' oral proficiency and reduction in linguistic anxiety after implementing game-based learning approaches in their linguodidactic practices. They also address the challenges of integrating role-playing and business simulation activities into standard curricula and emphasize the need for additional pedagogical support. The study emphasizes that gamification techniques contribute to the development of social and intercultural skills, encourage creative thinking, and help students feel more confident in applying their knowledge in real-life situations. The findings emphasize the importance of further investigating game-based methods in educational settings in Uzbekistan. These techniques could serve as a foundation for creating innovative curricula for teaching the Russian language. Additionally, the article emphasizes the significance of promoting intercultural exchange and customizing game scenarios to meet the specific needs and characteristics of students. Moving forward, there are plans to broaden the scope of research and increase the duration of the experiment in order to conduct a thorough evaluation of the long-term effects of gamified approaches on learning outcomes. This approach would allow for more rigorous testing of hypotheses.
