This article is devoted to the study of the theoretical and practical foundations of creating study guides that combine linguistic and cultural components specially developed for foreign students. It analyzes the relevance of the formation of linguistic and cultural competence in the process of language learning, the methods of determining the linguistic and cultural needs of students, as well as the stages of development of such educational materials. The article provides recommendations on the use of topics and tasks that represent the interdependence between national and international cultures in the content of the textbook. It is also noted that textbooks should be created taking into account the diversity of linguistic styles and should be rich in cultural components. While the linguistic component covers the phonetic, lexical and grammatical features of the language, the cultural component reveals the role of national traditions, values and communicative habits in the educational process. The article discusses the principles of developing educational materials based on intercultural dialogue, their effectiveness and importance in developing students' linguocultural competence. This article may be useful for language teachers, methodologists and researchers in the field of linguistic didactics.
