The article explores the linguocultural features of classical Soviet film comedies that gained wide recognition and popularity among audiences. Special attention is given to the analysis of film idioms, idiomatic expressions, and stylistic devices used in the movies, as well as their translation into Uzbek. The study identifies factors that contributed to the popularity and longevity of these comedies, including mass appeal, uniqueness, and cultural closeness between peoples. It demonstrates the importance of classical comedies as a valuable source for studying linguistic trends, cultural norms, and the perception of humor in a specific historical period.
