The article examines the scientific work of students of the Department of Language and Literature of Mamun University, located in Khiva, in the context of their preparation, participation in scientific conferences and the use of methodological recommendations of teachers. Particular attention is paid to the success of students in mastering the Russian language, which has a significant impact on their professional future. The article analyzes the role of scientific supervisors and teachers in preparing students for writing term papers and research papers, as well as the impact of their support on the quality of scientific research. The importance of students obtaining certificates of proficiency in Russian at level C1 (TRKI-III) is considered, which contributes to career growth and increased competitiveness of graduates in the labor market.
