Annotatsiya

This article examines the lexical layers and linguocultural features of Uzbek folk tales. It highlights the functions of archaic Turkic words, Arabic and Persian-Tajik borrowings, dialectal forms, phraseological units, religious and mythological terms, as well as vocabulary related to nature and animals. The study reveals that these elements not only enrich the artistic style of the tales but also serve as a cultural source reflecting collective memory, worldview, and national values of the Uzbek people.
