This article examines an improved pedagogical model for developing students’ spiritual and moral competence in teacher education on the basis of Najmiddin Kubro’s pedagogical views. The study analyzes motivational-value, cognitive-worldview, reflexive-metacognitive, experiential-activity and competence-development components as an interconnected system. It also reveals the didactic potential of the spiritual development block through value-oriented reflective learning, learner-centered spiritual development, vitagenic-experiential learning, reflexive-metacognitive development and competence-based assessment technologies. The paper substantiates theoretical and practical mechanisms for fostering honesty, responsibility, humanism, tolerance, self-control, civic responsibility and aspiration for perfection among students.
