This article provides a comprehensive analysis of memory processes in primary school students and their neuropsychological foundations. The study examines the stages of memory development, its structure, and functional mechanisms based on modern approaches in neuropsychology. It highlights the transition from involuntary to voluntary memory during the primary education period, the formation of working memory, and the developmental features of logical (semantic) memory. Particular attention is given to the relationship between memory processes and brain structures, specifically the prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, and amygdala, whose activity ensures effective memory functioning.
