This article examines the theoretical foundations of linguoculturology and paremiology, their interrelation, and the methodological significance of studying German proverbs expressing family values. The relationship between language and culture is analyzed through the views of prominent linguists. Proverbs are considered as linguistic representations of national mentality, cultural codes, and family values. The findings contribute to identifying the theoretical basis for linguocultural studies of German family proverbs.
