This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing professional competence of future physical education teachers. It reveals the substantive essence of professional competence, its structural komponents, and functional characteristics from a pedagogical perspective. The article also examines modern approaches to professional competence development and elucidates the scientific and practical significance of the "5K" concept, developed on the basis of student-centered education.
