This article examines the significance of works in the Siyar genre for the theory and practice of Uzbek textual studies. The multi-layered nature of sources and the variability of manuscript copies in Siyar texts make them an important basis for reconsidering traditional textual analysis methods. Using the work "Siyari Sharifi Turkiy" as an example, the methodology of textual-comparative analysis is demonstrated, and the role of Siyar studies in enriching the theory of textual criticism is concluded.
