This study explores the linguistic and cultural features of love expressions in English and Uzbek literary texts. Based on representative works from both traditions, the analysis identifies key lexical, metaphorical, and pragmatic strategies used to express love. English literature often portrays love as a personal, emotionally explicit experience, while Uzbek literature tends to present it through symbolic and indirect expressions influenced by collectivist values. The contrastive analysis shows how cultural worldviews shape emotional discourse in fiction, enhancing cross-cultural understanding of romantic language.
