This article explores the linguopragmatic dimensions of euphemistic and metaphorical devices as integral components of political-diplomatic discourse. Euphemisms serve to soften sensitive issues, conceal ideological intentions, and preserve diplomatic courtesy, while metaphors frame political realities in accessible, persuasive terms. By analyzing authentic political speeches, international negotiations, and diplomatic documents, the study reveals how these devices function as strategic tools to mitigate conflicts, establish authority, and maintain cooperative dialogue. The research highlights the pragmatic role of euphemisms in addressing taboo topics without confrontation, as well as the metaphorical reshaping of political events into universally comprehensible narratives. Particular attention is given to the cross-cultural variation of these devices and their impact on international relations. The findings contribute to a better understanding of language as a powerful resource in diplomacy, where subtle linguistic choices directly influence political outcomes and intercultural communication effectiveness.
