This scientific work examines the influence of folklore on contemporary fiction and artistic works. The focus is on the phenomenon of "eternal stories": archetypal narratives (the hero's journey, the struggle between good and evil, initiation, miraculous salvation) and characters (the trickster, the wise elder, the monster, the tempter), which, despite the changing of eras, continue to form the foundation of numerous modern novels, films, series, video games, and comics. The study analyzes the mechanisms of adapting folklore heritage: from direct remakes and retellings to complex allusions, deconstruction, transposition into futuristic or alternative worlds, shifts in perspective, and genre reinterpretation. It explores how traditional motifs acquire new semantic content, reflecting current social, psychological, and philosophical issues of our time, and why archaic plots remain so in demand in the digital age.
