Annotatsiya

This article analyzes how the core values of Uzbek national character are expressed through phraseological units. It explores how family devotion, love for children, patience, gender roles, and social relationships of the Uzbek people are reflected in the language through idioms. The study focuses on the lexical-semantic analysis of idioms expressing such values as family unity, devotion, hard work, modesty, forgiveness, and patience. Special attention is given to idioms like "bir boshi ikki bo‘ldi," "qo‘sha qarimoq," "ko‘z ochib ko‘rgan," "bir etak bola," "jonini bermoq," "fotiha bermoq," and "javobini bermoq," which represent unique Uzbek cultural views on marriage and family. The article also highlights the gender aspects of idioms, especially those representing typical qualities of Uzbek women such as patience, modesty, and selflessness.
