This article examines Pirimkul Kadyrov's novel "Uch ildiz" as an artistic reflection of academic discourse, focusing on metacommunication - utterances aimed at commenting on, correcting, and interpreting the communication process itself. The research demonstrates that the novel accurately portrays the educational environment of higher education institutions in the 1950s, revealing both typical forms of interaction among students, teachers, and administration, as well as hidden communicative conflicts. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of metacommunicative strategies: explanations, expressions of misunderstanding, softening of tone, and appeals to communication norms. The study also identifies instances of double bind - situations with conflicting requirements that cause stress and frustration in students. The analysis emphasizes the influence of linguocultural factors, status asymmetry, and nonverbal signals on the effectiveness of academic communication. Comparing the literary material with the theoretical model of metacommunication confirms its explanatory potential and underscores the significance of literary texts as sources for the linguistic analysis of educational interaction.
