Annotatsiya

The article analyzes the formation of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and its transition to a new stage between 1991 and 2026. It examines international recognition and the strengthening of sovereignty during the early years of independence, the maintenance of security and balance during the subsequent period, and, since 2017, the establishment of open, practical, and results-oriented diplomacy. Particular attention is paid to the restoration of trust in Central Asia, economic diplomacy, transport connectivity, initiatives within the framework of the United Nations, and the tasks of updating strategic documents on foreign policy and security in 2025–2026.
