Annotatsiya

In this work, gender stereotypes in Uzbek literature, the place of male and female characters in society, their mutual relations and traditional social roles are highlighted. Mainly on the example of Abdulla Qadiri's work "Lightning", situations such as patriarchal thinking, limited rights of women and superiority of men were analyzed in the society at the beginning of the 20th century. Also, the ideas of gender equality, the independence of the female personality and the fight against stereotypes were studied in the works of writers such as Erkin Vahidov, Zulfiya, O'tkir Hashimov, and Muhammad Yusuf. The research reveals how gender stereotypes are expressed through literary images and the influence of these stereotypes in society. The work serves to consider gender issues from the point of view of literary studies.
