Metaphor is not only an artistic device of language, but also a linguistic expression of a culture’s worldview, national mentality, and values. This article examines the role of metaphor in intercultural studies, the characteristics of metaphorical models across different languages, and the linguocultural aspects of cultural metaphors in the Uzbek language. Drawing on theoretical works by international, Russian, and Uzbek linguists, the article explores how metaphors reflect national culture and how they are used in political, religious, and social discourses. It also addresses the challenges of equivalence in translating metaphorical expressions in intercultural translation.
