Auditory competence plays a fundamental role in language acquisition, particularly in second and foreign language learning contexts. Traditional methods of teaching listening skills often neglect the psychological and motivational dimensions that are crucial for effective learner engagement. This study proposes a comprehensive model for enhancing students' auditory competencies through the integration of motivational learning strategies. Drawing upon principles from self-determination theory and task-based learning, the model combines motivational scaffolding, goal-oriented instruction, and interactive auditory tasks. A mixed-methods study involving 160 undergraduate EFL students was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the model. Findings indicate significant improvements in listening comprehension, retention, and learner motivation. This research contributes to pedagogical innovation by offering a replicable framework that integrates cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains in listening instruction.
