Youth speech represents a dynamic sociolinguistic variety characterized by innovation, expressiveness, and identity construction. This study examines youth slang and speech patterns in English and Uzbek as sociolinguistic phenomena, focusing on lexical, syntactic, and functional features. Through comparative qualitative analysis, it highlights both universal traits (e.g., borrowing, shortening, emotional intensification) and language-specific differences influenced by cultural and structural factors. Findings underscore the role of youth language in driving linguistic change and marking social belonging.
