This article analyzes the national and cultural features of English and Uzbek anthroponyms and the linguistic and pragmatic problems arising in their translation. The study highlights the connection of anthroponyms with historical, religious, ethnocultural, and social factors. In addition, the semantic structure, structural models, and equivalence issues of English and Uzbek anthroponyms in translation are comparatively examined. The research findings demonstrate the importance of applying transliteration, transcription, semantic adaptation, and linguocultural interpretation methods effectively in the translation of anthroponyms.
