This article provides a lexical analysis of hyponymic relations in English and Uzbek. Hyponymic connections between words are identified through examples, and their role within the lexical system is evaluated. Based on a comparative analysis, the specific features of each language are studied. As a result, the importance of cultural and logical factors in the formation of hyponymic layers is clarified. This article contributes to the deepening of lexical-semantic studies in linguistics.
