The article analyzes the legal framework for cooperation between internal affairs bodies and citizens’ self-governance institutions in the field of crime prevention. It is established that although existing legislation defines the general principles of cooperation, its specific forms, methods, and mechanisms are insufficiently systematized. In this regard, the study proposes improving national legislation and introducing a conceptual framework to enhance institutional cooperation.
