Special education requires particular attention and an individualized approach within the educational system, taking into account the needs of children who require specialized support, as well as their characteristics and demands. This study aims to identify different types of children with special educational needs and determine effective methods for teaching them. Such children often encounter difficulties within traditional educational systems, which highlights the necessity of developing strategies that are tailored to their individual needs. The article provides detailed information on the types of children with special educational needs, their characteristics, and the innovative methods used in the teaching process. The main focus of the study is to identify the challenges in learning English and analyze the factors that influence varying outcomes. To achieve this, the pedagogical and psychological abilities of the students were first examined. For the classification of children according to types, in line with the VARK model, a questionnaire method was employed. The survey involved students from three different general education schools, and the results obtained allowed for the determination of their learning styles, strengths, and difficulties. A specially designed questionnaire was administered to 60 children studying in the 1st and 2nd grades of general education schools.
