The article conducts a linguistic and cultural analysis of proverbs and idioms in English and Uzbek. It explores their semantic features, historical roots, and cultural meanings, highlighting the challenges associated with their translation. Numerous examples demonstrate the philosophical depth and cultural uniqueness embedded within these expressions, emphasizing their importance in fostering interlingual and intercultural understanding. This study also examines the influence of humor, irony, and metaphor in English expressions compared to life-guiding and moralistic elements in Uzbek idioms, providing valuable insights for translators and linguists alike.
