These concepts are an integral part of anthropocentric linguistics. This scientific article covers the analysis of the concepts of “death” and “life” in English and Uzbek in the languages being compared. It focuses on the study of the functional characteristics of language observed in the process of human speech activity, including verbal and non-verbal interpretations, which are important in linguistics, and in linguistics, in relation to the speech activity of the person using it, his mood, social status, age, gender, etc.
