These concepts are an integral part of anthropocentric linguistics. This scientific article covers the analysis of the concepts of “death” and “life” in English and Uzbek in the languages ​​being compared. It focuses on the study of the functional characteristics of language observed in the process of human speech activity, including verbal and non-verbal interpretations, which are important in linguistics, and in linguistics, in relation to the speech activity of the person using it, his mood, social status, age, gender, etc.
