In modern educational practice, developing reading comprehension skills is recognized as a critical aspect of language education. It is not limited to mechanical reading but includes a deep interpretation of the text and active interaction with information. This article analyzes methodological approaches and effective teaching methods that contribute to the development of reading comprehension competencies in students using the example of French language classes. The key principles and steps that are used to improve and develop this skill are discussed.
