The article examines the study of interest in the Uzbek language and literature in the Middle Ages both in Asian regions and among European linguists. The popularity of scientific and artistic works written in the Uzbek language among the peoples of that era is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to scientific expeditions of European linguists to the East in order to study Eastern languages and prove their influence on the development of Germanic languages. The article offers an analysis of the Uzbek linguistic and literary tradition as represented in Germanic language patterns, emphasizing the cultural and linguistic connections between East and West in the medieval era.
