This article provides a scholarly analysis of the charitable activities of the Jadids within the context of the socio-educational reforms that took place in Turkestan at the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth centuries. The study reveals the essence, main directions, and organizational forms of Jadid charity, highlighting its role in the development of the education system, the promotion of social equality, and the process of national awakening. It also interprets Jadid charitable activity, unlike traditional religious donations, as a conscious and systematic social institution aimed at the modernization of society. The research findings demonstrate that the Jadids’ experience is of significant importance for understanding contemporary issues of civil society development and social responsibility.
