This article examines the evolution of the terms “anthropocentrism” and “anthropocentric combinations of language” in linguistics of the 20th century, exploring their development as a pragmatic phenomenon. The authors analyze how in modern linguistics language began to be viewed not just as a means of communication, but also as a tool for the discovery of new principles and approaches. The article highlights how these scientific concepts contribute to expanding the functionality of language, giving it a more focused and practical meaning in the study of linguistic phenomena.
