This article examines the compilation of English and Uzbek ideographic dictionaries through a parametric analysis approach and proposes a new classification framework for their development. The study explores the role of semantic fields, cognitive structures, lexical-semantic relations, and paradigmatic–syntagmatic connections in shaping ideographic dictionaries. Based on parametric analysis, the research offers a systematic categorization of ideographic units, develops their cognitive mapping, and introduces innovative typological criteria for dictionary design. The findings aim to identify similarities and differences within the lexical systems of English and Uzbek and contribute to the improvement of modern ideographic lexicography.
